Monarch Kaleidoscope is a New York City-based entertainment studio founded by producer Emily McCann Lesser. Specializing in narrative and documentary projects across the globe, we collaborate with diverse writers and directors who bring unique visions and a passion for telling powerful, entertaining, and deeply personal stories. Our mission is to create work with heart that sparks meaningful conversations about our shared humanity and offers strong market appeal.
Emily’s previous films have screened at prestigious festivals including Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, and Outfest. We currently, we have a narrative feature and three short films in post-production, including a second collaboration with Academy Award winner Charlie Kaufman lensed by Golden Frog winner Michał Dymek filmed in Athens, Greece. Our development slate has received support from the Sundance Institute, the Academy’s Nicholl Fellowship, the Gotham, Film Independent, and Cinereach, among others.
