“Anniversary” is about the romance and magic of female friendship. So many romantic comedies are about a woman and a man falling in love and hurtling toward marriage. This short suggests that there’s true romance in the steadfastness and intimacy of friendships and that a happy ending comes from being loved just as you are, with or without upper lip hair.
